The founding fathers never addressed term limits because they could not imagine anyone actually wanting to make a career out of politics. They viewed it as an unpleasant public service obligation.
Exactly. Most of the founding fathers were either independently wealthy and went into politics as a hobby, or they were dirt broke.
I read a story about John Hancock, who was the wealthiest Boston patriot. He entered Philadelphia for the first time on a carriage with dozens of honor guards and his fellow Bostonians were disgusted by the display. They would be apalled at the modern pomp and circumstance of the political office.
That would be some dream come true to me, no salary, one term. In order to qualify you have to be able to take the time off from your current businesses. Definitely no retirement. No Health care. What would be great for the laugh would be having Trump and Everyone in the district of criminals submit to drug screens, if positive for drug abuse let them go wait on the beach at Gitmo. Let all the drug tests they ever took become the sole criteria for being selected to any federal office. I always go too far with this dream.
This is why they hate him so much. He doesn't play their game, he isn't subject to their rules. They don't control him, he doesn't owe any of the silver-backs any loyalty, has no skeletons in the closet they can use against him (not anymore). He doesn't need their money, so they can't even bribe him. He's not in the pedophile ring, so they can't blackmail him.
He is NOT a politician, because politicians are subject to ALL of those things!
Because he is not a politician.
And not a mere man.
Not mere man,
God Emperor
Donald Trump is the Second Coming of "Cyrus the Great".
We've been over this. GEOTUS is General Patton reincarnate.
Then again we could both be right too.
Just can't see GEOTUS ever going out like Cyrus supposedly did.
Politician shouldn't even be a fucking career choice. It should be seen as a service to your country.
