A lot of cows do live a tortured life. You can scoff all you want, but we are huge dicks to the animals we eat and harvest milk / eggs from. There is a huge swamp in animal harvesting that needs to be cleaned out. We should respect the animals we harvest.
I agree with this. I date a pretty based vegan (who i occasionally corrupt with meat and cheese) and she makes some pretty fair points. They do have to continuously impregnate cows to keep them producing milk, which isn’t super cool to be honest. I still eat meat and cheese but try to do it thoughtfully and not just cram whatever garbage into my mouth because hungry
I grew up on a dairy farm, we treated all the animals very well. The problem is factory farms owned by giant corporations, and small family farms have gone almost completely extinct. Either way, they are just animals. Beasts. They have no soul, and no eternal value. God doesn't esteem animals at all, and they were made to be used by people. I dont condone abuse because I'm not a psycho, but I care about people, not animals. Because this lady is where that mindset ends you up at. At least she is a Vegan and actually acting on her beliefs, and not just crying like a little faggot while doing nothing.
Farmers and ranchers show respect and give thanks for the animals they take sustinence from. Same with hunters. There is no veracity to your claims that they're viewed as soulless beasts.
Find somewhere in the bible that says animals have an eternal soul? The bible says that animals return to the dust of the Earth. I have respect to God for giving me the animals that I eat, and I hunt and butcher my own deer. I also feel bad about shooting them, honestly. But I know that it is only an animal. I'm not saying a dog or cat can have a unique personality. But no where in the bible can you show me God having reverence for animals, or telling us to reverence them. In proverbs it says a wicked man abuses his oxen, and I believe you are a sick and wicked person if you abuse a helpless animal. But I do not support the modern animal rights movement. There are people who value the life of an animal more than that of an unborn baby. And those people are even more wicked.
