Yeah, I'm surprised at the few comments on this post. They seem rather dismissive. I don't think she's off base at all. While maybe Yugoslavia is an extreme example (I'm far from an expert), the identity politics and racial strife is well on it's way to being the same in the US as the ethnic problems in Yugoslavia. I wasn't paying attention as much during the late 80's and 90's, but it sure didn't seem like it is today. Not even close. And it's escalating quickly in my opinion.
Yes, but I was responding more to the socialism part of it in the title, which I realize she explains is linked, but I was thinking of this Thomas Sowell quote:
Our children and grandchildren may yet curse the day we began hyping race and ethnicity. There are countries where that has led to slaughters in the streets but you cannot name a country where it has led to greater harmony.
90s Yugoslavia is also a great example of what happens when you hype racial and ethnic hatred.

It's like the radical left and the Dems are following the exact same playbook. Almost as if Yugoslavia was a trial balloon for the project in the US.
Yep. While not everything might be the same, the old saying 'Divide and Conquer' applies. And the 'Divide' part is in full swing.
'also' ? that was the whole point of the video.
