Ebonics: what people who are too stupid to speak their native language speak.

My company just put in place rules to force hiring of more black people. So there will be more Ebonics in the future as qualification will not matter any longer.

Dude, company I work for hired a black african with a "mechanical engineering degree" to work as an interpreter and a technical support function. The dude can barely speak English, he can barely speak French. He's stupid to boot. And his fucking degree is fake from Togo. Completely incompetent. Year 2 on the job and still doesn't know the basics. Can't fire him.

Oh, the fucking smell. It's so fucking bad. He'll talking down the hall and the hall will smell like shit for 10-15 minutes afterward.

All I know is that there two kinds of people at work: those who work, and those who don't.

The latter will be fired in the private sector, usually very fast.

That sort of depends. I've seen that play out in the blue color world but in the corporate world it's really hard to get rid of people especially if it drops you below the ethnic quotas they've created. We have people who produce absolute garbage but they survive because they are a minority or a woman.

Don't see that happening with facilities & custodial staff.

Take your pick: IndoPaki, Hispanic, or Filipino.

But there is a difference. When we are talking about low paying low skilled jobs then there are a lot of unskilled immigrants who fill those positions as we could all easily imagine. I'm talking about industries where a college degree is required and we arbitrarily say something like "we need to hire 20% more blacks". If you have to have 20% more then it gets awfully hard to fire the dead weight and so it rarely happens. I've even seen interns that we aid were useless get hired as soon as they graduated because they were not white and not male.
