I’ll be surprised if Kyle sees the inside of a court room. Who knows, maybe the DA will do like they did Zimmerman and have a purely dog and pony show to keep the riots down.
Zimmerman's mistake was that he fully cooperated with any interrogation asked of him, without a lawyer present, because he genuinely believed the police were trying to help him rectify what had happened.
The problem is that the police are not the ones in the court room. All the remorse and cooperation becomes lifeless notes on paper that can then be used against you by lawyers who are more interested in payouts than the truth.
