This is correct. The Dem play will be to claim it's indecisive long enough to make Pelosi temporary POTUS and she will start writing drastic executive orders. That's what I believe their only hope is and for that they need the election to be somewhat close. It has got to be a landslide because we don't want months of chaos and Pelosi.

Pelosi won't be speaker for long after the election. Congress changes on Jan 1, the president doesn't change until Jan 15.
