They won't admit it. Let me explain why, bottom to top from my POV in Oregon:
Ted Wheeler (Portland Mayor) blames GEOTUS because he's in a tight race for re-election against a literal Socialist (Sarah "Antifa Sarah" Iannarone), so if he doesn't bend the knee, he's toast, even in this climate (because most of Portland's residents are way-too-emotionally-invested morons, that's why)
Gov. Kate Brown? She's not up for re-election, but is facing a recall initiative on the ballot. People on all sides of the political spectrum openly wear T-shirts (and have custom-printed masks and bumper stickers, etc) that say "#FuckKateBrown". If she makes it to end-of-term without something violent happening to her at the hands of a displaced former business owner? I'll be amazed.
I fully expect the legislature to lose their democrat supermajority this year.

I believe (and yes, hope) that by this time next year, the tide will roar against the fuckheads, and that a wave of recalls and impeachments thunder across the land, dragging democrats out by their heels. Not sure if it'll happen, but the resentment and disillusionment really is building up...

Mail in voting is not about winning the election anymore, its about stopping a total wipe out of the Democrat party.
It's going to be so obvious when Trump drops in with a landslide then mail-in votes come in nearly 100% dem.
