This will be a very long read. But it is very important. Our congress and senate are mostly inept and don't even know how social media works. They are late to the game on almost everything they do in this regard. It is important that WE get this information out there.
As everyone knows TikTok is subversive chinese communist propoganda. TikTok was not something that should have gotten as big as it did, especially when there were so many other venues which enabled you to make dumb quick videos. But the chinese government pushed it out and pushed it out hard. How did they get it to be as successful as it was? Well one way is that people would artificially get fake likes and "views" on their first few videos. They would think they were very popular and would keep coming back for more... especially as tiktok is really aimed at children who are susceptible to this kind of programming. Chasing the artificial dopamine hit, etc. TikTok also promoted teenagers who they thought would keep people on the platform. We're going to look at one such person today.
Josh Richards.
1.3 Billion Likes.
20.8 Million Subs.
To put that in perspective, that's more then the Kardashians, and we all know how people especially zoomer girls love them. In other words, that is enormous. What is this guy so popular for? Making stupid short dancing videos that's it. Granted I don't have tiktok i refuse to use it, but as far as I can tell, it's dumb dancing videos (isn't every tiktok video).
You can bet your bottom dollar the Chinese promoted the shit out of this guy. Why? Because he is a shepherd to them. Look at those numbers, how many kids follow what he does. What would happen, for example, if he told everyone to migrate to a new chinese platform? Would china have to build the platform up again? Or would the followers just migrate within a week?.... Which brings me to,

Sound familiar? Look familiar? Now here's the very important part. Until just a week ago, Triller was relatively unheard of by most people. It wasn't in the spot light the way tiktok was, it wasn't being used by the masses and dumb "hero" nurses, etc. The platform was there but the engagement wasn't anywhere near what it is on TikTok. So what happened last week? Trump said he was going to ban TikTok. And BOOM JUST LIKE THAT THIS RELATIVELY UNKNOWN PLATFORM HAD... 250 MILLION DOWNLOADS IN A FEW DAYS.
How did this happen? Well let's get back to our boy Josh Richards. Imagine you were Josh Richards, imagine you had 20.8 million subscribers and 1.3billion likes. We all know how social media works. Nothing is more precious to a person who streams for a living than their userbase. What's the last thing anyone would ever do? The last thing anyone would ever do is hit the reset button and say "well I just want to start over from 0". But that's what Josh did this week. He told all his followers he was leaving TikTok and heading to this COOL NEW APP CALLED TRILLER. A bunch of other high number subscribed to "artists" did the same. And bam, 250 million downloads just like that. Hence why I called him a "shepherd".
So while everyone is focusing on TikTok, and China is of course making a big stink over TikTok and the much more important WeChat, and everyone is looking over one way, China is doing something the other way. Who owns Triller? China. Not under the ByteDance label though, under a group called Proxima Media. Who owns Proxima Media? A guy named Ryan Kavanaugh... which brings me to:

and here we go again. We are playing wack-a-mole. If Triller gets killed then the chinese will just use Likee (also china owned). The only solution is to ban ALL AND ANY CHINESE TECH PRODUCTS VIRTUAL OR OTHERWISE. Or none of this even matters.
TL;DR Triller = Tiktok but with more AI, and 250million downloads as of 1 day ago the #1 app. It is chinese owned and the chinese are using big streamers to shepherd their people over to new platforms while everyone talks about tiktok.
