I've heard this idea phrased before, many times: the left accuses the other side of exactly what they're doing themselves. They project a lot of their standards and strategies on conservatives.
The left's racist projection works the same way.
What they need to realize is that Free speech only protects them from Legal trouble from the government for what they say. It doesn't protect you from the people you offend with your free speech.
In that way, it's like old school cruise control. It gives you the freedom to go, but you still have to steer or slow down when appropriate.
Well, be careful with the verbiage you use. By saying "doesnt protect you from the people you offend" it almost sounds like someone has the right to react to speach and/or expression with violence. Which ofcourse that someone does not have that right.
That's exactly what it means unfortunately. This is why someone can sue for slander because the Freedom of Speech only protects you from Government backlash, not from someone that you piss off with what you say. It's also why If one were to attack someone for what they say, the aggressor in the case, is the one that attacks, not the one talking shit.

Yes, this is true. Its easy for people to say blacks didn't "evolve", but when humans first left Africa, all new completely different challenges awaited them. Modern humans from Africa and all their descendants were the only ones to survive. It took millennia, but it was the challenges they overcame that gave them the edge over all other hominid groups. The ones that stayed in paradise never had to worry until time caught up with them.

As a middle age white man I CERTAINLY was not offended when the dude crossed the street. I could not have asked for a better result.
Crossing the street if you don't feel secure about someone else or a group of someones - - - can be a good thing. If you "offend" 95% of the time and save yourself from a beat-down or worse 5% of the time, I consider it time very well spent.
I have had two other incidents where what I had in my pocket (or in one case attached to my belt and concealed under a long shirt) likely saved me (or in one case a 7-11 worker - - store at night and I was NOT going to leave until a certain black dude that I was 99% sure wanted to rob the place walked out - 7-11 guy offered me my food free afterwards, but I of course paid) and my actions related to same likely did a bit of good for myself and/or others. Did I "offend" the black guy at the 7-11 by staying in the store quietly (but so he could see me) until a "random" guy outside went in to get him (probably a lookout) - 100%. Did I offend the person of color (Indian) working there - hell no.

I can share my personal experience on this. We have had both BLM and Trump rallies here in my town over the last several weeks. A local Trump supporter showed up at a BLM rally a few weeks ago and politely asked them a few questions. They got in his face, screamed at him, and publicly falsely accused him on social media of attempting to "attack" some black children who were there. They also called the police, which made for sweet irony as they held their ACAB and "Defund the Police" signs. There was video taken of the interaction.
Last weekend we had a Trump rally here. Towards the end of the rally, a BLM supporter rolled up in her mobility scooter with BLM and pride flags flying and parked right in front of our Trump rally. No one did anything to her.

One of my favourite videos is when some BLM people crashed a Tea Party event. Guess what happened? The Tea Party folks gave the BLM people STAGE TIME! The BLM people delivered a speech and the crowd applauded. After the speech, people were taking pictures together. No violence. No put-downs. A friendly exchange of ideas. Try to do that at a leftist event . . .
All they'd get at a Trump rally is a delicious red pill and exquisite coat!!

We should issue a challenge to people claiming the left is “peaceful”. You can only continue to make the peaceful claim if you wear this shirt and hat supporting Trump and go to an event. It can be like the walk a mile in her shoes events. If your side is so peaceful they should be 100% willing to walk 1 mile dressed as a Trump supporter.
