I remember getting red-pilled about marijuana by the History Channel of all places. I was raised on "all drugs are bad except by prescription." Years later I watched a History Channel program on the history of marijuana out of curiousity. When I learned how congress used a dirty trick to make it "illegal," and how one toke doesn't make someone go crazy or die, I no longer believed it was "bad." Sure it can be used to excess; but that's true of any drug.
I think the point of above comment is when modern generation thinks 'hippies' they think Simpson version - silly potheads into flowery dresses and weird music.
But that picture is a product of decades pop-culture looking at those years through rosy glasses.
People who lived through it recall them as more violent thieves and harassers - because whatever the decade, that type of anarcho-revolutionary that just wants to bring the system down, are all the same. Only difference is, no internet back than so the shit that went down wasn't recorded in detail.
The hippies aren't all bad. I've seen a lot get super redpilled by covid.
yeah the hippies were right wing compared to these woke tard zealots.
I find most to be tolerable unless they go down the pseudoscience rabbit hole. Thats hard to deprogram
If hippies wanna make their own commune farm and be peaceful, cool with me.
