Suburbs of smaller cities have dramatically lower costs of living than suburbs of major cities. 50k is a hypothetical shit number, but it's not unreasonable to find places in burbia for under 100k. I just don't see soccer moms and middle aged intellectuals risking their lives to protect them.
I wish this was true, but half the burbs are cucked, because they surround the cities.
