Frankly, we need a push to go the other direction.

Like how the hell are what's essentially hearing protection so restricted? In a logical world, you'd expect it to be more likely suppressors are encouraged, not restricted. It's like banning mufflers on cars and requiring straight pipes.

It's because the normies think silencers actually turn gunshots into little pussy fart sounds like in the movies, so when commies ban them for no good reason the normies think it's for an actual reason.

"We can't have guns that only make little pussy fart sounds when they fire, assassins would be everywhere!" (smashes handful of Doritos into mouth, takes a bite of pizza)

I wonder how much of it is like what's holding VR back. The new systems are amazing but YouTube videos are useless to convey it. You actually need to try it, and the cheap low resolution ones without motion tracking just make the stigma worse. YouTube videos of guns have a cap on how loud something is, so you can't really appreciate the relative noise of unsuppressed, suppressed, and pussy farts

YouTube "VR" videos damage VR if anything, change my mind.
