There are crazy people everywhere. Be aware of your surroundings.
Remember that there will be quiet Trump supporters everywhere you go.
You can buy a small body camera for less than $30 online. Invest in one of those and a large SD card. You would only have to activate it if you are uncomfortable.
Ask the campaign to send someone with you for the first week or so.
Carry a keyfob with alarm.
You might also question seasoned campaign folks how they handled angry liberals.
I dont think any reasonable person could call you paranoid at this point. We were long passed them openly inviting violence against Trump supporters two years ago
You're not wrong to be afraid but you would do well to not let fear stand in your way either.
Do a one hour study of the judicial structure/make-up of your county, sheriffs office and DA. Know what kinds of statements they've made related to the rioting.
If it's a County DA like Kenosha's Michael D. Graveley, then understand he will work against you in ALL cases of self-defense and will not pursue charges against pedophiles and rapists. You'll be on your own.
If it's a County guided and led by constitutionalists and those leaders have vocally made that known, be more confident that the system of justice will work to protect you.
We're all being terrorized and intimidated. Welcome to the valley of the shadow of death. This is where we show our enemies what it really means to be American.

Fear is healthy in the face of adversity. You will learn that you will become more aware of your surroundings through it. Keep your head on a swivel. And stand strong. Love and prayers for strength fren
I hope you stay safe, We have all seen the violence and outward lies told by the media about trump supporters and your fears aren't unwarranted. As others in the thread have said, look into a concealed carry license.
Hi there! I had the same fear when I started working for Turning Point on college campuses. The fear isn’t entirely unfounded but it’s also highly unlikely that something bad happens to you. Unless you live in Seattle or Portland you’ll most likely be fine as long as you’re attentive to your surroundings, just like any other facet of life. Be brave, be proud, carry pepper spray or a firearm, and everything will work out.
Remember: the point of ALL of this is to scare you into submission. They WANT you to be scared. If you refuse to be scared - if you proudly and unapologetically stand for what you know to be righteous and just - you are winning. If you are not allowing them to scare you, YOU win.
No one is ever safe always.Just be safe now. Be aware of your surroundings, have circles of trust, keep safe distances, trust your instincts, surround yourself with like minded people and focus on God and Country. You are walking through the valley but you are not alone. MAGA
no as others advised, arm yourself, be aware of your surroundings, get a bodycam, maybe some pepper spray/mace if you're not comfortable carrying a gun. maybe speak to the local PD, make them aware of what you will be doing where you will be.

I will be working in a county with a mid size city. There was some rioting, looting, etc...but not as extreme as the major cities

Use a body cam and/or carry at the minimum mace if not a gun on your person.
