The only thing that really gets them to get off their asses is when some other 2A group manages either to almost accomplish something (in which case the NRA tries to sabotage them before it happens, to "preserve the issue" for later fundraising) or to actually accomplish something (in which case the NRA rolls in afterwards and claims credit).
