I hate to sound yeagerish, but an optic won't do anything for you that close. I didn't see him get to level a single shot, it was more of a general direction fire. Luckily he connected! Being able to connect without a sight picture other than point and shoot isn't difficult, I encourage everyone to try it.

Not everyone is going to be a Kyle or Yeager, lol. I usually cringe at myself giving any advice where mileage may vary.
