I highly recommend the SIG Romeo7 full size red-dot though. Fantastic accuracy for those close quarter engagements

Muscle memory is fascinating to witness yourself doing in real time. Avout a year and a half ago i decided to buckle down and learn some fundamentals for guitar. I learned the blues pentonic scale like the back of my hand. Had a gifted spanish acoustic so i could really only go from the first octive of E to the 4th octive and back again. I did this for atleast 20mins a day for a year and a half due to boredom. Now i play and i noodle (which is just sort of freely rocking out on your scale pattern) and i catch myself watching myself play and while I'm playing asking myself "how the heck am i doing this".

In an escalated state of mind your training pays off. Muscle memory sets in and you just "know what to do" without even thinking about what you are doing. It's a very awesome part of being human and I'm sure some trauma medic, rescue, or vet pedes could weigh in to some miraculous situations they've been in.
