That was hilarious. But in retrospect, I think that scene showed Abe's dementia which is why he is resigning.

No, he doesn't have dementia. He suffers from some chronic intestinal disease, which I believe is ulcerative colitis. Unfortunate result of his intensive work schedule over the past decade. It can be treated, but he's unable to fulfill his duty under treatment.

Such an odd political chain, Japan's rulership. Rozen-Minister lost the vote in the biggest fail in their recent history, then just a term later, his party wins again (guess the other guys didn't live up to expectations), and makes ol' Rozen-Minister the Deputy Prime for Abe. Such an odd leadership juggle.

Aso's getting on in the years too, but both Abe and Aso were/are very proud of their country, and I hope he gets the nod to keep at it, at least until they formalize a new successor who is hopefully as proud of their culture and heritage as the two predecessors.
