I came from a family like this. She probably does believe her but she has her own reasons why it’s not good for her for this to all come out. It will mess up her family, people in the community will find out, she will be embarrassed, it will mess up her plans for Thanksgiving… It is insane what people will do to cover things up if it is perceived to rock their comfy world.
