Can confirm that Magpul sling is baller.

He video of that law enforcement officer getting shot this last week but getting up and shooting back ... he was using this same Magpul in single point configuration.

That was a great video

People who pussy whine/ virtue signal that Kyle will have to "live with having taken a life" should see this cops attitude to having taken a life.

I believe his sentiment was, and I quote, "Fuck that guy."

Is double slinging a thing? I would be double-slinging after this week D:

I want that gun to be a part of me forever in a situation like that where you could fall, and a series of people will attempt to rip it form you.

Midwayusa only had it in coyote color (I wanted black) so I went with these guys:

https://www.mountsplus.com/

It's out of stock everywhere else I looked, hopefully I don't get an e-mail from them saying it's out of stock. Thanks for the recommendation.

Also squashing the 30-round magazine whining. And pretty much guaranteeing 2A for decades. The left is retarded.

Its a "teachable moment" as the libs like to say

You see how he has to basically carry the rifle all night? Single point slings smack your balls if you just let the rifle swing.

Great for an operator. More of a hindrance for non shooting scenarios.

What is the point of open carrying a AR if you do not maintain positive control of the weapon at all times? Decoration?

TwoStar 17 points ago +17 / -0

I think the point is that a two point sling can easily adjust

GuacamoleTariff [S] 9 points ago +10 / -1

Personal preference is a big factor I think, I have always used a two point and had no issues, but Kyle convinced me to give one a try.

Magpul MS4 Gen 2 Multi-Mission Single Point / 2 Point Sling with Dual QD Swivels Nylon

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2319121313

I will probably talk myself into and out of a few before I settle, but this solution gives option to go either 1 or 2 point, so I don't have to fully commit until I've carried it for a while. Also considering Blue Force Gear

Some preference, but very much situation dependent. Basically, do you specifically intend to use the gun, or are you bringing a gun 'just in case'? If you are out in public where police control still exists, using your hands to maintain positive control of a weapon can/will be considered brandishing.

This was my experience. I use a 2-point sling now, after experimenting with a single point sling. Handguard+backplate attachment points work great for me, and you're right the rifle doesn't bounce around all the time.

This is true I watched a Delta Force breakdown gun battles in movies and he goes into depth about slings says single point was a fad in 90s now they all run two point for more control and able to switch shoulders faster and doesn't smack your balls when running free hand

4
JediDwag 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's why the hybrid sling which is currently top comment is great. You can two point for transport or open field shooting, and transition to single point for close quarters or maneuvering.

RolandDelacroix 2 points ago +2 / -0

You can also use the two-point to make a quick hasty sling support.

"vickers sling" its a two point sling with a ..i'll call it "fast tab".

Has a tab on pew pew end that lets you fast snug or loosen the sling..soo..even though 2 point...snugs up & carries like a single point...and then pull to give slack to modify.

Yeah the guy at Warhorse Concepts is #1 for customer service. I don’t think I’ve waited longer than 2 min for a reply. That guy fucks

A rifle needs a sling like a handgun needs a holster. Weapon retention is critical.

Fixed bayonets can also help to deter a snatch attempt. Violent felons generally have a better understanding of what a long sharp blade does to flesh, and less likely to try and grab it.

I approve this message.

Blue Force Gear makes some damn fine slings.

neverreddit 3 points ago +3 / -0

Been waiting for this since it happened. We need more respect for Kyle’s sling that truly saved his life.

rando_calrissian 2 points ago +2 / -0

I like hybrid, set it up to run as a single point mostly. I mount my single points to the back of the stock. I think mounting it to the receiver plate makes it hit your junk.

And more ammo!

Sure, if you want to destroy your shins every time you let your rifle hang.
