Ironically in this particular instance, French commies in the 60's-80's hated migrants. They were cheaper and more accepting of hazardous work than native workers - the bread and butter of the communist party - so they advocated against mass immigration as a tool for big business to crush the French proletariat and revocate its hard-won privileges with.
They've all long since turned into irredeemable faggots, needless to say. But their old voter base turned to the "far-right" (far-right in a French context just means "sensible conservative") and what was at the time Jean-Marie Le Pen's National Front.
So this is the one thing I'm willing to concede to the old-timers, they at least used to have some principles, and are sometimes consistent in their retarded beliefs. I generally despise them, but I can only cheer on them for triggering the Saracens. Takes some balls these days.

Then the Democrats keyed into the idea that hey we can just replace Americans with foreigners who will vote in communism and voila, he flipped.
