Depends what other information they have. If they can justify it with more info on BLM/Antifa organizers or people being bussed around, etc. then all it takes to recover from any MSM attack would be for us and non-leftist outlets to blast that info everywhere. Even then, he could be betting on the "silent majority" being in agreement with it, as polls have implied (for what little they're worth). I personally think he'd be correct and media trust is way, way down anyway.

As a conservative, I whole heartedly concur. Wherever possible I think local govt should take precedence over federal intervention. Could the situation in Portland be construed as an issue of national security? Perhaps. But if that's how folks in Oregon want to live, then go man go, BUT don't look to me to pay for fixing your mess. Portlanders made their bed, now they get to sleep in it.
