i welcome anyone who wants to get on the Trump Train wholeheartedly but with a grain of salt. They are leaving those areas now - NYC and NJ - because what they have been voting for is now being implemented. That sucks for them so they are leaving. My problem is that they voted for that sort of governance to begin with. You may think there's a sea change of people who voted for DiBlasio and Cuomo and Nadler and Schumer and AOC to stop supporting such politicians. I'm telling you there's not. They may have made the shift to Trump but that doesn't mean they wouldn't vote for all those corrupt Democrats over and over and over and over again. They would. If all those who are moving were going to vote Republican, it would show up in the polls.
Lemme ask you something though. Did you vote for Bush or Romney? At one time was Gowdy a favorite or Rick Perry? How many times have we been duped by the RINOs? Trump has helped us understand how bad things are on the Conservative side. They are learning how bad things are as well .
I campaigned for Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Tom Tancredo, Pat Buchanan (Reform 1996). I'm not telling you my primary or general voting record. I have never voted for a Democrat and Pat Buchanan is the only third party candidate I've ever campaigned for. I didn't vote for him in the general election though.
We could have all used your insight. Most of the people I know were shocked about Collin Powell, Bush, Romney, Paul Ryan and Gowdy. I was shocked about Romney. Trump has really helped us identify the swamp. I see the other side seeing it as well. Those that are not have gone 100% activism and Marxist.
I actually typed up a comment with my entire political history in campaigns, primaries and generals as concerns the Presidential election but I would end up doxxing myself.
Suffice it to say, I was one of those crazies railing against NAFTA and the Council of Foreign Relations back in the 1990's. I was almost constantly railroaded by my own party. I also consistently saw Republicans in Minnesota like Michelle Bachmann railroaded while "republicans" like Arne Carlson and Tim Pawenty were lauded. Turns my stomach!
