My theory is it all started in Seattle with the WTO protests around the turn of the millennium. They were different than the typical riots and social unrest for this country. They became more militant and went on for extended periods of time. Almost like they were imported from Europe. The prior episodes of social unrest would typically die out after a few days and people vented. Then comes the occupy protest and they go on forever. Then BLM. We're almost a decade into this horseshit.
I live in the Bay Area and there has been a massive exodus to Portland over the last 10 years. Several people I know have all left for the utopia up north. My theory is that the most radical people were priced out of the SF Bay Area and formed in the PNW. That's why you see night after night of white radicals attacking our institutions in Portland and Seattle. The politicians there have to appeal to these people if they want to be elected so they deal with them very softly.
