We should strive to be consistent too. The federal government has no business rounding people(citizens that is) up, for any reason. These rioters are a state issue. Let the states who voted this into effect be the ones to handle it. Worst case, the citizens will do it as the Founding Fathers intended.

You think that Democrats will say, well Republicans never did it, so we shouldn’t either? They don’t care about precedent.
All you do is tie one hand behind your back by not allowing yourself to arrest criminals while Democrats do whatever they want when they are in power.
I want a return to law and order. That means arresting the violent criminals when they're caught doing violent criminal things.
