One thing that has always stuck with me about that slaughter. The islamics were stuck outside the locked door, they were stymied. Then an employee walked up with her kid, and the terrorists threatened to kill her and her kid if she didn't use her code to open the door. She did so, the terrorists then went in and killed those people. And the terrorists did let her and her kid live, surprisingly. And she was never held accountable for her role in that slaughter.
Question; would you trade the lives of a dozen of your friends/peers/fellow employees for a chance to save your life and your kid's life? It is just a chance after all, the deal you make with islamics may or may not be honored, there is no certainty you will survive even after complying.
She did. She knew full well the slaughter which was coming and she chose to have them killed. People back then would tell me she couldn't be blamed, because she was under threat. I asked my then 15 year old if he would want me to make that trade for me and him under similar conditions, he said no. He sees the morality of it.
