But he's a better person than anyone else in DC, and a better patriot than anyone DC has seen in 50 years, including Reagan, and that man is my friggin hero.
I'll tell you straight up I was wrong about Trump in 2016. I voted for him of course and even supported him vocally following the Red Dinner and the platform he released following it, but I honestly don't think anyone out there really expected him to govern as he has. He had his own red-pill moment and has continued to take regular doses. The last 4 years have turned him into a reactionary conservative, something he never has been, just because of how much of a shitshow the media and the left are.
He's not dumb, but he was politically naive. He thought he could change things.
Now he's realized there's no change, there's no compromise, there's only total and complete victory.
In 2016 I supported his platform. In 2020 I support his sanctification.
he's pretty much as perfect as a human is going to get. you had the entirety of the cult of lib digging through his life for anything, and they came up with nothing. all those same libs who were digging for literally anything? it would take like 1 hour of digging to find dirt on any of them. they are all trash.
Maybe reconsider Reagan, considering he sold out California to illegal immigration and solidified the control of neocons and the religious right in the Republican Party, the two factions that don’t care about the economic and cultural destruction of the U.S.
He didn't sell out California to immigration. California and Congress did that. His amnesty was signed with promises from Tip O'Neill that legislation to harden the border would follow.
Instead, they delayed until Bush was in office and proceeded to soften the border and push for NAFTA.
As to neocons and the religious right, that's the price you pay to destroy the USSR, man. Religious conservatism is the antithesis to communism. Destroying a communist state without shooting requires a culture that is solidly religious and unafraid to support anti-communists around the world. It require massive military and deficit spending, and in case you haven't noticed, it worked. All the people shitting on Reagan 30 years late all seem to forget that part. They also tend to be people who didn't live through it, and most of them also seem to forget that the media that lied to them about Trump has been around a lot longer. Think maybe you're still being lied to about other things perhaps?
Reagan's primary failing was choosing Bush as his running mate. He could have picked anyone and still kicked the shit out of Carter, but instead he picked the Deep State's golden boy.
Of course not. He's human like the rest of us.
