Just venting here to people who might understand... My friends and much of my family are so lost to the manipulation and brain washing. They are such good hearted people and that’s why they cling to the BLM narrative and support leftist policies, they believe that is how to best help others. I’m trying to help them see what’s going on but they are living in a completely different reality.
I feel so helpless watching them live in fear and stress and constant outrage over lies and misdirection.
These are people I love who have helped me through the worst days of my life.
When I try to show them the facts, they don’t want to see. I think it’s too terrifying to realize that maybe everything they believe is a lie.
I can’t tell them how I truly feel because I don’t want to lose them. I know some will say that makes them not worth it, but these are people I can’t give up on. I owe it to them to try to make them see before outing myself as one of the “bad guys” in their world.
I feel so angry at the media and everyone contributing to the false narratives. Anywhere providing actual facts is labeled “alt-right” and instantly discredited.
I have a lot of work to do to undo the insanity. I guess I can’t expect a lifetime of brainwashing to be undone overnight. It took me about a year to unbrainwash myself and it was hard.
Anybody got any success stories of saving friends or family?
You have to figure out that one thing to get the tiniest crack started.
When I first started going out with my wife, she was full bore Teacher’s Union brainwashes. We went out one day in my car and I had Euah on, and the first thing she says is “How can you listen to that racist?” I asked how she knew he was racist? She said everyone knows it. I said “I’ll make you a deal: as soon as he says something racist you can change the channel. Keep your hand on the dial.” Every time she tried to take her hand down I made her put it back. We listened to the whole show.
But the thing that really got her was when Chris Christie was running and the Union wanted to raise the dues by $5 per pay for political advertising to counter Christie because “he is going to cut employee benefits”. I asked her A) why doesn’t the Union use the extra $5 to pay for supplemental insurance for its members instead of giving it to political consultants? And B) after the election, regardless of who wins, do you really believe the Union will stop taking that $5 out of tour pay even though they technically won’t need it anymore?
THAT was the crack that started the red-pill process.
NOW my wife is telling me “ITS ALMOST NOON SEE IF RUSH IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!“ and is a YUUGE Tucker fan and knows that OANN kicks Fox’s ass.
I had a blind hatred of Rush. I still haven’t listened to him yet but I realize my opinions of him were all from what other people said, nothing I had formed on my own. Crazy how easily that happens!
