I'm convinced it's all to try and prevent as much vote-by-mail fraud as possible. If you can go into a store and be safe with a mask, you can vote and be safe as well.

I get it, especially with all the data that says masks may be bogus for preventing influenza or similar viral infections, but fear about all this has spread like wildfire. People have been trapped in their houses for quite some time convinced there's some form of an invisible boogey man out to get em. I says as long as we're all willing to restart society with choices rather than mandamus, (masks optional, you can either take HCQ / vax / positive test from 2+ weeks prior) then by God, I'll happily stand (6ft away) next to any americans encouraging that. Nothing could be more patriotic than encouraging people's own free will, aside from apple pie.
