The rules are supposed to constantly be changing so that you are unable to ever know what is actually correct and you are always looking to the "correct" authority figures. That's why they're now trying to get people to wear them in their own homes.
My local Walmart has someone outside literally dressed up a cop. Uniform and a badge. They're a Walmart employee placed there to intimidate people to wear masks. No joke.
You shouldn't be wearing one at all. It's security theater in nature and outright intentional manipulation to see who will comply with useless mandates.
Wearing yours anywhere but a hospital is more than you have to. I even refused at my dentist's office (empty waiting room, no other patients) and they didn't persist. Even got them to use the temperature gun on my arm instead of my head (I don't like those fuckin things shoved in my face)
Most of the shit they're telling us we have to do is toothless and we don't have to do it.
You say that but there are people wearing them, alone, in their cars, as they're driving around. There are way to many NPC's out there that have no free will of their own and do whatever the magic glowing boxes in their living room and pocket tell them to do.
Nah, every retard I see wearing a mask feels like they can crowd my space now. Fortunately they are few and far between where I am, and most of the ones doing it are young dumb asses.
We should have a standard reply for this. Preferably better than "hey dumbass," although that would work too. I wish the burrito Brothers were well known enough so we could just let out "flying burrito brothers" as a war cry and see the pansies scatter, but that's probably not yet enough fair warning.
But yeah, wearing a mask and crowding space is a net negative in terms of the spread of communicable disease. As if that were ever the concern.
This is one of the biggest problems with the whole mask thing, and even the Fauch brought it up in the beginning...if you give people a false sense of security through ineffective means, they won't bother to care about any of the other means that actually DO make a difference (not getting up in your face, washing hands, staying home when not feeling well, etc)
I can't take how it's now "OK we'll LET you open your business or do xyz, BUT ONLY IF YOU wear this, and do this, and don't do that, and follow these constantly changing guidelines (they arent laws, so you must volunteer to do it)..."
...and people instead of FUCK YOU, ASSHOLES, IT'S A FREE COUNTRY, say OH thank you oh thank you for LETTING US live life!!!
I quit a job several months ago when they mandated them there. Gov. Abbott came out a few days later and did it statewide so the company knew it was coming. But I wasn't going to wear that thing 8 hours a day, several days a week and I was only working there because I enjoyed it (retired early). Several other employees also left that day. It's insane to require people to wear something that impacts a basic biological function of breathing in fresh air and completely exhaling CO2. Won't go back to work until all this crazy bullshit is over.
remember 14 days to stop the spread, so the healthcare system isn't overloaded?
State and local gov't took those guidelines and went INSANE. Mostly because the media made everyone think they were all going to die so staying home for a couple weeks "wasn't enough"
It's everyone here in TX. Everyone's wearing the damn things because of the state mandate by cuckboi Abbott. I can't get over people who wear them outdoors and it's been around 100 degrees for weeks. As soon as I pay for something in a store, my gaiter comes off before I'm out of the store and it NEVER comes on outdoors.
Found a pocket of freedom in Bardstown, KY today. Went in the gas station and 5 other people (besides me) were also maskless. I'm usually the only one around Louisville.
I went into Publix for the first time in 2 months. The arrows are off the floor. I was the only one maskless. I used to treat the mask wearers like ghosts. As if they were invisible. Now I look them dead in the eyes until they turn away. Face coverings go against human nature, but if they want to communicate with only their eyes then those dumb asses shouldn't blink. Im glad you found your people in KY. My pocket of sanity is the gym where no one ever wears a mask.
To be honest, here in my area of Ohio, people mainly have them around their neck or not on at all. Despite it being "mandated" by Gov. DeWine, its treated as more of a recommendation than anything. I know of a few stores that "enforce" it, i.e. hassle you at the door, but once your inside nobody says shit. I think I've spent a grand total of about 5 minutes "fully" masked and by masked I mean a cheap gaiter or a thin ass red bandanna. Folks totally maskless get a casual nod or a friendly "hey", those with the diaper get looked around and through as if they are from another planet.
Nobody up in the hills wear them either. Was out in Natural Bridge area a few weeks ago, and as it usually is in the most beautiful area in America, felt like I was on a whole other planet.
Glad to hear it. We're planning on taking a drive to Natural Bridge pretty soon. Once it cools off and the leaves start changing. I wasn't planning on bringing a mask to walk through the woods like some idiot. Especially since I don't bring one to go shopping.
Kentucky is such a wonderful state. I was there in July, and people there really value freedom. Hardly any of the Branch Covidians around. I felt like a normal human being for once this year...
About a year after I moved here, I got pulled over for speeding. I told the officer I had a glock in the glovebox along w/ my registration. Some big city cops in Ohio would have had me bent over the hood over that. KY state trooper said, "if you're going to carry that for self-defense, getcha some good hot hollow-points in there instead of that ball ammo."
I was only there for a week, but I want to move there too. The Kentuckian way of life needs to be protected by good hearted patriots who share the same values as the good citizens who live there, so I'm happy you're there too.
You may find this hard to believe but most non-urban California places are like this. No problem to walk into a gas station or pretty much any store without a mask. Probably 1/3 of the people aren't wearing them in gas stations. Maybe 10% with no masks in grocery stores, but its growing.
The covid-19 article dump from this morning inspired me to write an informed letter to my Governor Abbott to end all the mandates. Not an e-mail or a webform; but an actual letter which I mailed out this morning.
Hey Pede! Would love to send a similar letter to governor here in Massachusetts. Mind sharing your letter (or, at least, the part that makes the argument against Covid)?
I wrote him within days of him mandating the masks and closing down bars and river tubing businesses. I can't stand that SOB. He's ignoring data, even the latest about Collin County having over 4000+ false positive cases (supposedly). Of all places, I thought Texas would remain strong and defiant just like Georgia and SD.
mask culture needs to end. im sick of it

How "correct" of an authority figure is that?
Walmart is China's bitch so it's not surprising.
Just walk by them. They can't legally stop you. If they physically try and stop you then you can sue.
If they look too much like a cop it’s probably illegal in your state.
Wait are they impersonating a police officer? That is a crime.
wait, WHAT? In my own home? That's fucking absurd
This is a thing, yes. Welcome to Joe Biden's America.
Birx was the one pushing it
Your couch might get the covids, then your couch only has a 99.998% chance to survive. Live in fear!
Governor Baker made a feeble attempt to get that started in MA. Didn't hear too much other than a couple news articles and then nothing.
That’s the worst about it. I have no idea where’s exactly masks are mandatory so I’m pretty sure I’m wearing mine more than I have to.
You shouldn't be wearing one at all. It's security theater in nature and outright intentional manipulation to see who will comply with useless mandates.

Most of the shit they're telling us we have to do is toothless and we don't have to do it.
Yeah, that won't happen.
You say that but there are people wearing them, alone, in their cars, as they're driving around. There are way to many NPC's out there that have no free will of their own and do whatever the magic glowing boxes in their living room and pocket tell them to do.

THIS. Fuckers feel like they can stand RIGHT behind me in line. Bout to start coughing loudly.

FUCK THIS COMMIE SHIT, LET'S GET IT OVER WITH
In my office this week. Company mandated both.
Still working from home here. But I won't go back into the office if they try to pull some shit like this. I'd rather quit.
I quit a job several months ago when they mandated them there. Gov. Abbott came out a few days later and did it statewide so the company knew it was coming. this week?! a little late isn't it?
Yeah really, what kind of johnny come lately bs is that? How out of touch would the person who came up with that policy be?
Lmfao. Yeah, you work on Mars?
A righteous boss!!
This is the way
My company felt obligated to issue a new "mask policy" but in word only. Still haven't worn one this whole time.
remember 14 days to stop the spread, so the healthcare system isn't overloaded?
State and local gov't took those guidelines and went INSANE. Mostly because the media made everyone think they were all going to die so staying home for a couple weeks "wasn't enough"
Fifteen Days to Flatten the Curve was over 150 days ago, at least...
My hospital's bored.
So how much are plannedriots designed to keep us all from turning on THEM, as a united front?
Branch Covidians should be mocked, to their faces, as the losers they are.
Or, you know, just set them all on fire and make a good example.

2020 is the year of peak insanity
until 2021

They do, but I ignore it.
Same. Neither my work gym nor my weekend gym are masked up. Feels so nice.
Rossi FTW!
They do go against human nature. We should start putting them on animals just to troll them.
Nobody up in the hills wear them either. Was out in Natural Bridge area a few weeks ago, and as it usually is in the most beautiful area in America, felt like I was on a whole other planet.

Man I really need to go there. I've heard it's great.
+1, can confirm; recommend hiking around and up to it, though, and not driving up like a nub.
That whole area is amazing; the Gorge hiking is great, even better on 'off' days. (solitude ftMFw)

Does an Ale-8-One Toast
Unless you are in a dry county...Kentucky has its own problems. Come on over to WV!
I'm always the sole freeface in any building I enter. We have 99.99999999% fully obedient compliance.
It makes my blood run cold.
It’s disheartening seeing fellow Americans bowing to this bs.
That's the goal.
Same.
Same

I hope it at least encourages him to do it.
Gov CuckAbbot.
Texas gives the illusion of being based. Representative of the Bushes
Hey Pede! Would love to send a similar letter to governor here in Massachusetts. Mind sharing your letter (or, at least, the part that makes the argument against Covid)?
Hit me up with that letter, too, buddy? I'd like to rework it into one for my cucked POS tyrant waste-of-carbon governor.
Dear waste of carbon:
how dare you not know better!
That should do it, right?
I wrote him within days of him mandating the masks and closing down bars and river tubing businesses. I can't stand that SOB.
