Exactly. My husband is a police officer, and he stated that it's actually normal for an officer to nearly use a whole magazine. Maybe not normal (his choice of words is sometimes poor), but it is quite common. Pistols, of course. I don't know what the stats are on shots fired with a rifle, but we don't talk much about his job as a rule. I overheard this when he was trying to tell his mother that seven shots is actually not an overuse of force. She's a leftist, but at least she seeks to ask before being frantic!
