IME flu shots are still good, and I've never gotten full-on sick from Influenza whenever I've taken the vaccine for it (I may have gotten the chills for a few days, or mildly ill, but nothing compared to full-blown Influenza symptoms whenever I've decided not to take the shot). With that being said, I did skip the vaccine for a few years after they introduced Swine Flu/H1N1 into it, because I wanted to observe the safety behind it first.
I wont take any vaccines ever! Last vaccine I took was a flu shot 25 years ago that made me sick!
Yeah they will get you sick for a bit. It turns on an immune response.
