Definitely this.

It's a pretty easy field to get into if you commit to learning for a bit. I'd argue you don't even need a degree, just proof that you know how to do it.

Not that a degree doesn't help.

It doesn't help as much as a portfolio or OJT. IT is more of a trade.

Starting a front end web dev course this week so I can hopefully get out of warehouse work. (actually my second course, first one while it gave me some experience and a technical certificate, really didn't give me a good portfolio. This one seems to be better in that department)
