This is from Gaige's Live POV feed. Kyle literally told him he was running to the police, while literally running down the road towards the police. Gaige turns around and runs to attack him anyway.
Seems Gaige had no idea what really transpired, just a kid ran past saying he was going to get the police, and then right after a large angry mob yelling that he shot someone and to get him.
Gaige had been hanging out with the rioters all day, and allied with them from what I saw in other videos. Amped up in all the excitement, no idea what really happened, just a chance to play hero he runs after Kyle and draws his weapon.
Funny how the media paints Kyle as a vigilante, and the crowd as heroes. But the truth is Kyle was a victim, and the crowd was a mixture of vigilantes who had no idea what happened, and numerous straight-up villains. I believe Gaige was a vigilante. I believe Huber was chasing Kyle the entire time, even before Kyle shot Joseph. Kyle wasn't an immediate threat, but Gaige tried to execute Kyle anyway.
If our justice system wasn't broken and politicized, after an investigation, Gaige would be charged with attempted homicide.
It sounds like in that environment you could just point at any random person and shout "That nazi just shot someone!" and a mob of people will immediately try to murder them.
