One thing that has been helpful for me is this: I simply ask them why all their news sources have the same message. Then I drop some alternative options for them to explore. Simple but effective for a few close friends.

You have to first understand that they're literally in a cult, then approach them as such.
There are well documented methods for rescuing loved ones from cult indoctrination, namely the empathetic and compassionate usage of the Socratic Method.
Keep in mind it's a painful experience to wake up, like Neo exiting The Matrix.
