It still was an attempt to subvert the system from within, even if it failed at it's purpose. It's a commie tactic to take over cultural symbols and change their meaning. I think it's a creepy oath, knowing it's original purpose was to promote Christian socialism
Honestly, I agree. And to me it feels like another one of those things used to indoctrinate us. I am talking about in the schools of course. There just seems to be something wrong with making children pledge their allegiance to anything really.
