Think of political control as a series of turfs to occupy.

The Dems realize public perception of Trump is high and spirits are high. You took that turf from them. They tried to take control of that. Depress support and give him an overall negative perception. Make folks think he's a loser.

They'll reorganize on procedural control. They'll focus more effort on turning out their own and harvesting ballots. Trump's people need to focus on engagement to turn high energy into ballots. Everyone needs to recruit their friends to cast ballots. Then we need to be ready to fight against fraud.
