To be fair, everybody was doing too much cocaine in the 1980s and many put it on their credit cards.
Clinton made sure these same 1980s coke heads could easily refinance their homes 3-4 times to pay off those 1980s credit card debts while "saving Christmas" and that's why so many people liked Bill Clinton. They also didn't notice all the manufacturing being sucked out of the country because they were working $15-20 dotcom jobs and drinking all the soda they could drink for free.
Then in 2000, the dotcom bubble crashed, the cushy do nothing office jobs disappeared and 9-11 happened the very next year.
True, but aneurysm levels of coke, that's a lot. I wonder if he knew anyone who had access to literal tons of cocaine?
dotcom jobs
The level of incompetence I saw at a 200 employee operation was staggering. But they sold consumer electronics online so basically printing money. Got laid off in 99 and the company ceased to exist by 2000.
We got free sneakers and the day off to go see the Phantom Menace though.
Can confirm. I worked for an online gaming start up in 1995-98 and those fools were practically wiping their asses with 100 bills. The owners and their family members with the cushy honorary jobs were the biggest coke heads I’ve ever seen. They were selling it out of their offices! But we employees (about 100) got lots of perks - dinner every night from any restaurant we wanted, fully stocked break room w/fresh pastries and coffee every morning. 3 hr margarita lunches at a nearby resort. I typed up a few of the executives’ expense reports and it was crazy how much they were spending and getting away with. I took a crew to rep us one year at CES in Vegas and we turned in our gambling fees, souvenirs, room service at all hours, outrageous bar tabs. Those were the days before it all came crashing down!
The people who made money off the dot.com bubble piss me off. Not that they made money but that they all act like self righteous know it all douchebags now, as if they made anything of value.
Take Mark Cuban as a good example. He developed a shitty online company that got sold go another shitty online company that then got sold to another shitty online company, which then proved to be unsustainable and went out of business. Whats my source? Fuck you thats my source, I read the list of companies he helped start and I had never heard of a single one. I seem to remember that he was also heavily invested in HD-DVD which was the competitor for Blu-Ray and ultimately failed.
Bottom line he made money on a project that fell apart and never gave any value to the investors. And now he acts like a fucking bell-end to Trump and other conservatives because of what I can only assume is envy at the fact that Trump has his name on buildings and brands across the world, and Mark Cuban doesn't.
Sorry for the random rant. I used to be a big NBA and Mavericks fan but something always ate away at me about Cuban and his attitude. He built nothing!

Not our golden boy GEOTUS. Top of his game in the 80s, I’m sure he’s seen his fair share of others doing it tho
