"Intro" The answer is very complicated. The simple answer is black culture. But that sounds racist because liberals live by the politically correct handbook so I'll rephrase the answer into this. Firstly, I have several black and latina Foreigner friends. Like most foreigners they came to America to chase the "American Dream". They all love this country and embrace the freedoms more than most Americans. All of them are very successful. Yared Desalegn from Ethiopia owns a restaurant in Johnson City TN and is a very wise and kind hearted man. Trizzle Go-Getta(dinsdell) my man from Jamaica is a trucker. He has always worked hard and persevered through tough times and I look up to him for that. My point is this. They come from a different culture. Just because they are black doesn't mean they are the same people. We all individually are wired different based off of our life circumstances. Where you grew up, the conditions you grew up in, the mindsets of people that influence you are all things that effect you as a person dramatically. Black Americans come from a system that used to literally enslave them, but black men and woman were hard working. so why is it that the majority (not all) don't have that same type of drive? The answer is culture. Lets dig deeper. Fast foward to when slavery was abolished. The system changed but the mindsets didn't. Black people were put through hell even after slavery was abolished. They were secluded from the rest of society. Thought by the majority back then to be in Superior and we're looked down on. So this trauma caused effects. They would stick together in "gangs" to protect themselves. Gangs like the crips were originally created by black people to protect each other and their community from gang violence. Originally being a political group it evolved into a street gang. This mindset of being looked down on and not excepted has trickled through time and landed in 2020. The truth is that society does in fact except and love black people as equal human beings. The media would say different. But why? To be continued....

Because it's expensive to immigrate to America from Africa and we get a higher class of African immigrant because of that.
same with Japan... there's blacks here but not a bunch of Dindu Nuffins; why is that? because here they don't allow entry to low-rent dirtbags of any country--this place is strict on immigration (fuckin racists)
during my first visit to the Japanese consulate in CA, one of the things i learned before moving here was that unless i had a minimum of $30k usd in checking or savings, i would need a guarantor in Japan to co-sign for me.
Oh, you're the dude in Japan!
Yeah, I was asked the same thing when I took work in the UK and different parts of Europe.
It's funny to me that I was asked that as an American but I was surrounded by Africans and Pakistanis who clearly immigrated and to fall under the dole.
I would counter: post-9/11 refugee status.
Many of my clients I do handyman work for, were Ethiopian.
30 years ago people, and generation there after, from the Ethiopian-Eritrean war. Some of them fled to Chad and came here.
Today, we get Somalians like Ilhan Omar...
Sure, there are exceptions to the rule such as refugees - but on average we still tend to get middle class immigrants from Africa. Europe, on the other hand, gets most of the low class African immigrants, because it's quicker and cheaper to get there.
Because black Americans are held down by systemic racism, bigot! Now let me loot and burn down your business in the name of reparations.
Section 8 > Mud Hut
You're very stupid. Obviously because African immigrants are selected so they are the top of their country.
