The rich are moving out. She is right about that. But the being reborn part is not happening. Why would it? What advantage does someone have living in NYC now that the "rich" corps and people are out?

Sure maybe the apartments are cheaper a little bit - maybe commercial real estate is cheaper. But its not an advantage compared to other places. NYC did well because of the amount of rich intelligent ambitious people living there. The people were the greatest resource.

It's like that anywhere. It's the people really - not the place. So let DeBlasio gobble up resources at low prices. Its not going to work. Those places only have value because of the people that used to live in NYC and the people that used to go to NYC.

The left does not REALLY know how the world works and that's why they end up with egg on their faces all the time. The Left has mostly trained on destroying the good - and they are unfortunately very effective at that. It's easy to tear down - its hard to build up.
