It's worth probably considering, while NYT is the publisher, one of the authors is a former director of the NIH and a Nobel prize winner in physiology/medicine in 1989: https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/medicine/1989/varmus/facts/

Just sayin'. This ain't no journalist or someone who works at NYT, but someone who can credibly be called an expert. I think a bunch of you missed that.
