You need to be a special breed of retarded to keep up with those mental gymnastics.

The sad part is... I've gotten pretty good at it lol. Just from being in academia and surrounded by people that think this way (same school for work and a grad program. And a grad program that has heavy emphasis on all the critical theory bullshit, no less... it's almost served as amazing opposition research where I've learned how to view the world the same way these intersectional woke-ees do. It's frustrating, but I guess insightful lol. Also has made me really good at using their retarded tactics against them when trying to debate, red-pill, or just generally spread truth or debunk their nonsense, and how to immediately recognize the kinds of arguments they'll use, etc )

edit: a good example is how the gatekeepers have essentially blocked me from doing my research/doing my thesis. Initially researching drug policy and criminal justice/prison reform. But because I'm doing real research, and not SJW research, nobody will serve as my advisor. I keep getting asked why I'm not touching on the "racial discrepancies," and they don't like when I say "well, I'm centering on the opioid epidemic, which effects everyone, so I'd rather avoid bringing race into it, and how this is disproportionately killing young, white males." However, if I reframed my research to something like "Opioid epidemic is killing more white people -- why that's a good thing!" I'd probably get instant approval.

I then moved on to potentially doing research along the lines of what James Lindsay and Prof. Boghossian are doing, trying to expose critical theory, and/or doing research that, generally speaking, looks at the relationship between academia, media, big-tech, culture, and politics (showing how academia is essentially creating radical ideologues, and an "intersectional, woke, SJW" culture" but that'll obviously never get approved. I'm at the point where I'm thinking of just doing some absolutely batshit crazy proposal, centered on race, gender, identity, just so when that gets approved (and probably awards), I can show how biased they are, and care more about social engineering and indoctrination then they do about actual research and facts.

How about a stealth thesis on "How unbiased theses are getting rejected while fake academia approves biased trash?" Seems like you'd already be done with the research.

Ha, yea, that was kind of part of the goal of my second proposal, but that's the issue: getting an advisor to accept working on something like that, and then further, getting the program to approve the thesis proposal even after advisors/professors have signed on. With the second one, I even worded everything carefully (not the way I worded it here), basically just saying I wanted to look at the relationship that this kind of "scholarship in academia is affecting major institutions, and thus culture at large, and therefor politics" (and then I'd essentially show how academia is indoctrinating students, which creates a bunch of brainwashed SJW intersectional woke idiots, and because these students eventually go into the workforce, it affects institutions, which then permeates society and culture -- taking these ideas out of academia and sending them into mainstream society/culture -- and then affects politics, etc)

[hopefully this made sense -- wrote it super quick and stealthily while in a Zoom call lol]

I keep getting asked why I'm not touching on the "racial discrepancies,"

Just reply that any socially-constructed variable in the data is necessarily only ever a proxy for underlying co-dependent variables, and as far as variables go, self-ID'd race is not a clean one at all.
