That's true. Here in Texas, though, I'm definitely meeting conservative transplants. Just in our small lib neighborhood I've met four for sure and a few more I suspect.

The problem is they're very cagey (understandably) and assume everyone they meet is a leftist and they have to be careful about expressing their views. So it takes time to figure it out.
