On the other hand, have some respect and fucking read the flag code. You don't put the flag of our great nation on something that is to be soiled and thrown away.

"The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free."

Howdy Pede, I get and respect your position on respecting the Flag.

If that had been this airlines problem with the mask, I would consider agreeing with you.

However, the problem here was that they found the image of the Flag offensive and banned the person, an LEO, wearing it from entering the plane.

You can't cancel America!

You'll have to over look me, I get a bit too worked up about our flag. I think about the story my Dad would tell me about his uncle. A uncle he never met, he had died in France in August of 1944. In the mid 1960's, my Dad's parents were out of work and couldn't find work and couldn't move somewhere else to work, they were that poor. But thanks to the life insurance from that uncle, they were able to keep food on the table and got them through until they were able to go back to work.

My father told me that is what he thought of every time he looked at the flag. A man he never met, that died for this nation well before he was born. That even in death he was able to provide for his family and get them through hard times. He would tell me that flag is more than just some cloth, it's every man and woman that has bled, that has been injured, that died for this nation, for you to be here today.
