We HAVE control of the pandemic, the media just doesn't want to admit that fact. Deaths are in freefall and, no, they can't just "spike up again" 2 weeks after we reopen. We most likely have herd immunity now, which DOES NOT MEAN people still can't get an infection or die, just means its increasingly unlikely and not likely to be life-threatening, most people either have the immunity through prior infection they rode out or through a string enough immune system to handle it from an everyday encounter and it never go to a dangerous level
