But I was thinking more like an idea such as paypal, or the incredible new fast McDonald's hamburger store, or the world's first GPS tour guide system (mine), or something like that. You do one thing nobody else is doing... (and not be part of a corporation) and you can write your own ticket.
Oh sure. Just in my experience it's easier to have a few small streams of income and work 10-20 hours per week than be a CEO and work 80 hours per week.

When they announced they re-wrote the instruction book on how to weaponize the FBI and spy on us without being caught. I know truly believe we've seen all the "consequences" we're gonna see from that. It will be a pleasant surprise to see otherwise.
That's actually what I did, at least during the recession. I went from construction, which was intended career, when I was young, I went to school for it, I loved it, that's what I wanted to do. Then the economy started to tank, that was the first time I had to abandon plans for a business, I went into construction supply instead, which opened up a whole new world. Rode that about halfway into the recession, ended up working for a bank, in the mortgage side of it, no less, had no idea how I got that but hey, it was a job (I went through 3, completely different sectors) through the recession. Then ended up back in supply, for manufacturing, rode that out for a few years, rebuilt my savings, started my own business, and world promptly went in to shut down. hidethepainharold.jpg.
