They willingly gave up their guns. When the government doesn't fear the people, you get situations like this.

We actually had protests here during the peak of the COVID pandemic for George. No community transmission of course, cause the virus doesn’t spread around social justice warriors, it’s a special strain.

It’s funny how right after those “harmless” protests there was a massive spike in cases in housing projects.

Yes, I don't understand the meekly accepting it by so many. If they all refused, the Australian government wouldn't be able to prosecute everyone. We've all become so apathetic.

11
Rufus_Shinra 11 points ago +11 / -0

Because a lot of people are followers who don't think for themselves. This is how genocides happened and how millions of people got marched off to gulags. If they would have United and fought back it would've been a different story, but they submitted one by one and little by little things became worse and worse.

7
bitterbut_true 7 points ago +7 / -0

Well if you step up, you're fined. It starts at $200 then jumps to $1500 (i.e not 'distancing') and then it can gallop up to $20k (at the moment). Eventually it'll be $50k then $100k (my guess). I

Ok. lets say you don't want to pay the fines. You'll sit it out in jail y think. Sorry. Jail is for people who are broke. Got some property? The Govt puts a lien on yr house to get the fines PLUS interest. There goes yr house. And job (probably). And y doxx yrself for all the crazies...so you drag your kids into it.

What about if you're young? Nothing to lose? Well then y get a criminal record making it harder to get a job. Convicted of 'incitement'?...Companies will think you're strong...BUT you may be the type to SUE them as well. And these days HALF the white collar jobs are Govt jobs--so you've got to go cap in hand to the oppressors to 'employ' you. Got a Masters in Economics?...which took 6 years to get. You won't risk it (at this stage).

So all of these head fucks are some of the reasons for this "meekness"; why 99.9% of the people won't step up unless they're forced out of their hidey holes with hunger or violence.

That being said. There are still some patriots who will risk all.

4
alex_p_keaton_III 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes. The system is rigged. In my state, the governor admitted (because he was sued) he can't enforce the mask mandate on the average citizen. Let's hope the local sheriffs resist the tyranny (some in my state have told him to go pound sand). That will be important. They don't have the whole country and it's primarily the leftist garbage dumps that are screwing the citizens. If we can consolidate the freedom of red states, there is hope yet.

There is one and only one inalienable right: the right to violence. Every other "right" is a concession from those in power such that the inalienable right is not exercised as often. As the capacity for violence decreases, so do the concessions.

DrCowboyPresident 26 points ago +26 / -0

"Anyone who clings to the historically untrue and thoroughly immoral doctrine that violence never settles anything I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms."

Wow, this had me thinking... Where'd this quote come from?

32
Demonspawn 32 points ago +32 / -0

It's my own. I've been refining it for a few years now.

SPEZ: it all started from a conversation I was having about NK. I said "Well, whatever rights we think are being violated means jack shit unless you or I can overthrow Jong-il". My next thought was applying that to ourselves, and started down the line of though which most recently became the form you just saw.

12
MIKEOBAMA 12 points ago +12 / -0

I had an economics teacher start off the first class with a similar statement. Never forgot that.

Also this is why we have to consider everything from a physics/military/state of war perspective...because that's what 'they' do.

For example think of the force/mass/power of social institutions. Any with considerable power they want seized and controlled, destroyed, or otherwise destabilized/weakened.

Family and church attacked; Entertainers used as fake idols, athletes as fake warriors, and so on

5
FREEDOM1st 5 points ago +6 / -1

but gun ownership is now higher

Yeah but what kind?

"All self-loading centrefire rifles, pump-action or self-loading or lever-action shotguns that have a magazine capacity of more than 5 rounds, semi-automatic rimfire rifles over 10 rounds, are restricted to government agencies, occupational shooters and primary producers."

5
RighteousViolence1 5 points ago +5 / -0

They definitely got screwed as to what kind of guns, but there are still more now than before. It’s still big ghey but they still have the means to tell daddy govt ‘nope’

4
MustafaJones 4 points ago +4 / -0

Last time I checked the law, paintball guns were in the same categories as RPGs. That’s the level of intelligence we have in parliament here.

2
VoidWanderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

If everyone that owned a gun was willing to use it you wouldn't need more than 2 rounds each to clean up the government. Is it right to limit the number? No. Can you still do what needs to be done with that limit and then get rid of it once the people enforcing it are taking a dirt nap? Absolutely.

4
alex_p_keaton_III 4 points ago +4 / -0

Aren't you limited in what types of firearms you can own? Can the government come in and confiscate them if they chose to (ie. it's not an inalienable right, but "allowed" by the government)? Genuinely curious. My understanding is that you can't own handguns or semiautomatic rifles and pump action shotguns. I also read that most guns are in the hands of a smaller portion of the population (people own multiple guns). I think that makes it more difficult to resist tyranny if you're reduced to single shot weapons owned by a smaller number of people- but correct me if I'm wrong. American citizens own more guns and ammo than other countries militaries. That's a pretty good deterrent.

5
RighteousViolence1 5 points ago +5 / -0

I’m American. I just know the buyback didn’t do anything meaningful and basically all types of crime went up after the buyback.

2
MustafaJones 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh yeah, no semi-auto rifles or shotguns but pistols are ok. You know the small concealable guns that criminals can carry around without it being obvious. Australian gun laws are fucked, people get shot every couple of days but everyone would rather ignore the problem because “guns are scary”.

3
alex_p_keaton_III 3 points ago +3 / -0

That and it's the immigrants that do the shootings if I'm not mistaken. Can't report on that!

212
maleitch 212 points ago +212 / -0

All of this is a trial balloon by marxists in government to see how far they can get away with their totalitarian world view before people will snap. They just needed to manufacture some global scare tactic to push it....in walks Covid. The disease exists...the danger does not.

They have already shifted the human condition this far so they want to take it to the next level.

When they do get pushback they will recede just a bit so individualists believe they have"won" while ignoring the natural rights they already lost.

Then ten years from now it will get pushed even further so the slow erosion of individualism can be totally eradicated

It's the overton window. Shift it slowly so that people don't notice or resist (or at least it's a smaller portion of the population that does). Trump's election made them speed up the process. The virus was just the excuse they needed.

If you weren’t a Karen during the first month of this pandemic, then you’re an idiot.

And if you were still a Karen after the first month, then you’re a moron.

That’s my opinion anyway. When faced with a potentially deadly unknown, defending yourself against it is the smart thing to do. However once the data started rolling in it was pretty obvious that the severity was extremely overblown.

24

Call me crazy, but I think Deuteronomy was serious when G-d threatens punishment for those who disregard his laws.

G-d works on his own time. Obama and the rest snickered that the world didn't explode the second after their evil policies got put in place. But Adam lived 900 years after eating the apple and being punished with dead -- that may seem a long time, but it's not long compared to immortality....

I think the wicked redefinition of marriage is one of the reasons why G-d is taking off his belt and giving us a lashing. And he is just getting started.

I think it's abortion, but maybe both, I just think abortion is so much worse. They can't redefine marriage (God's definition anyway), but they can mass murder their children.

5
Shalomtoyou 5 points ago +7 / -2

Well, they both seriously mess up with out nature. Abortion defines children as an inconvenience. Gay marriage defines children as completely unrelated to children.

And in a deep sense -- without children, why care about the future? I don't mean childless people are indifferent, but there's a greater drive when a piece of yourself is there.

Biblical anecdote: We remember that Terah was Abraham's father. Abraham was Isaac's father. Isaac was Jacob's father. Jacob was Joseph's father. Jesse was David's father. David was Solomon's father.

You know who's father people don't remember? Moses. Moses's birth is "A certain man from the tribe of Levi." If you pay close attention to the genealogies you learn that his father's name was Amram. But the Bible doesn't honor him as being Moses's father.

There's a midrash that the reason for this was that Amram was a man of influence. After Pharaoh ruled that the baby boys be thrown into the Nile he gave up sleeping with his wife. The idea was -- and let me know if you heard this before: "Why bring children into a world like this?"

So he slept in the field away from his wife. And since he was a man of influence, the other Hebrew men did the same. But one day his wife visited him in the field. She fed him a meal and showed him the plate. "See how much prettier I am than you?" she said.

She didn't mean physical beauty. She meant: "You gave up on life. I didn't."

So he returned to her and she was able to conceive a son who became Moses.

But because he gave up on children he's not given the honor of being listed as Moses's father.

Abortion and Gay marriage are both antithetical to children, labeling them as a nuisance or unnecessary.

It's why I wonder if a lot of the push behind Abortion, Gay marriage, and transgenderism (even if you change your mind about changing your sex, if you go too far they will have sterilized you) is just a sophisticated "zero population growth" movement. Thanos would be proud.

5
GrayGhost 5 points ago +5 / -0

lmao 2 points ago +3 / -1

i don't think there is a penalty for not having children, but there is one for murdering your children.

2
Shalomtoyou 2 points ago +5 / -3

Not having children violates one of G-d's very first commands in the Bible. "Be fruitful and multiply."

4
FearDaNazgulz 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes! People hate this, sometimes I don't like it either but it's there. Celibacy is also different from being married and purposely not having children; one you give up the blessings of marriage, sex and children in order to serve God, people, etc. The other you are purposely taking something beautiful He designed and selfishly disobeying it. There's more to it, but tis the short version.

2

Conservatives lost the state election in a landslide in 2018 because they are spineless faggots. Unfortunately Daniel Andrews, the current premier, will win in a third term in 2022 and he doesn't even need to rig it because state based conservatives here are cowards with no charisma and will hand elections to Marxists on a silver platter.

5

The fake conservatives are allowed to sit back and become wealthy while never having to actually do anything.

Better an incompetent government than a highly organized tyrannical government. Oz is going the way of the UK with people being arrested for social media posts. Sick.

I like when someone in America responds to this with “this isn’t australia!” As if that’s on some other planet and in no way wouldn’t be done here if leftists had their way.

TheOneWhoKnocks 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have no doubt that, in the modern era, there are plenty of Australians (and Brits, and kiwis, etc.) who have every bit as much balls as Americans do.

The problem is, in the modern era, that we no longer live lives fighting to survive daily. We have all become fairly soft and accustomed to our luxury. So, when tyranny like this rears its ugly head, there is a transition period in which your average modern man has to go from his daily life of comfort and stability to realizing that his world is crumbling, and that a proper response is called for, that if he doesn't go the full measure, he'll lose it all. The difference between the Americans and the rest is that, once that transition in thinking is made, only Americans still have the means to give that proper response.

All the balls in the world won't matter without the means to employ them effectively.

Well, I can't speak for others, but I know in my heart I'd rather die than live in a stalinist state that used to be my country.

Sounds like house arrest to me.

7
Rune_ 7 points ago +7 / -0

How are they going to monitor how many times you go outside to exercise or who in what household has already been to the store? Or are they relying on neighbors to rat each other out?

“Hello? Police? Greg went outside this morning AND I JUST SAW HIM GO OUT AGAIN!!! Bring reinforcements!”

Plus, side note: people with dogs need to walk them outside more than once a day, shitheads.

UnrealDonaldTrump 5 points ago +5 / -0

As a Victorian, there are thousands of Karens who do indeed call the cops like that. If COVID has taught us anything, it's how thin the veneer of civilisation/democracy is. I don't question anymore how Germany went from regular European nation to full Nazi on one generation.

The great difference this time is that the world economy is not (yet) in a funk. It's when you throw hunger into the equation that people will really lose thri shit. It's only a matter of time, imo. The elites don't care, they'll bunker down in New Zealand.

Australia allowed a BLM protest.

They ARRESTED A WOMAN ORGANIZING AN ANTI-LOCKDOWN PROTEST.

Arrested for organizing a protest the government did not approve of.

There will come a day when the ruling elite simply decide to drop nuclear bombs on the ignorant sheep.

I don't mean metaphorically or spiritually or esoterically - I mean an actual atom-splitting warhead whose sole purpose is to turn an entire civilization into a parking lot.

First, you give up your guns. Then, you give up your right to protest. Then, you get injected with whatever they want to put in you. If you try to run, they know where you are so they find you. After a while of this fishing-in-a-barrel tactic, the ruling elite get bored.

They drop a nuke on everyone. The world is their oasis and nobody did anything to try to stop them because they pitted the police and politicians against the citizens, and when the friction reached a breaking point, they kill everyone and re-write history to say they were the ones who actually SAVED everyone.

They will become gods of the future.

Unless you stand up, here in America. It's far too late anywhere else in the world. Good luck Kangaroo 'Pedes - Shadilay and God bless.

I take it you never played any of the Fallout games? The elite are basically Vault-Tec at this point, and like Vault-Tec they'll be the ones to drop the bombs.

Why would they be dead?

Think about the logic of your argument in the context of coronavirus. It's impossible for anybody to have created the coronavirus because, well, then they would catch it themselves too, right? And who would want to release something to the rest of the world that they could catch?

JeffEpstein 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's less about the number of nukes and more about their placement.

Concentrate as many individuals as you can in the smallest surface area that you can, and a single nuke will take care of millions of people.

It's easier to kill people when you stuff thousands inside 40-story towers than it is to hit the rural farmers that have plenty of acreage between them and their closest neighbors.

I think Hiroshima and Nagasaki were an appetizer for what the ruling elite really want to do. As fucked up as it sounds, I would bet money that's the case.

China wants its Iron Ore deposits.

They are doing some amount of arresting in Australia. Anyone that even thinks about protesting just gets arrested.

5
fluffmiceter 5 points ago +5 / -0

My question is what the fuck does a curfew do for this whole situation? Isn't it better if some people are shopping at midnight because that means there will be fewer people trying to shop during peak hours?

5
Hardcouer 5 points ago +5 / -0

Victoria = Australian California. Victoria's government is also striking its own foreign policy deals with China.

5

Australian government still thinks of their country as penal colony and treat the residents as such.

New zealand and Australia have surrendered to the CCP. The citizens will be the last to know.

Great strategic location for a military presence. Unrelated I'm sure

"Tomorrow When the War Began" is Australia's version of "Red Dawn" aimed at Zoomers. While a fun movie, there are unfortunately no memorable rallying cries like "Woverines!" or "Avenge Me!" in that film for Australians to shout when fighting back, in Minecraft.
