Never gonna happen unfortunately. The state conservatives in opposition here have no spine, its leader is a literal nobody and have no policies that grab people's attention.
Conservatives lost the state election in a landslide in 2018 because they are spineless faggots. Unfortunately Daniel Andrews, the current premier, will win in a third term in 2022 and he doesn't even need to rig it because state based conservatives here are cowards with no charisma and will hand elections to Marxists on a silver platter.
I firmly believe that over the years the conservatives parties in Western countries have mostly been bought out to become nothing more than fake opposition so the illusion of Democracy and choice is still presented to a complacent population. The fake conservatives are allowed to sit back and become wealthy while never having to actually do anything.
There is a reason they're called RINO's and a Uniparty. There are so few actual republicans and democrats in power today and it's only at the local levels because even the "good" republicans in congress are still snakes when it comes down to what they end up agreeing to do behind closed doors and what they end up passing.
People here will figure that out in November. The number of "surprised pikachu" type posts in January as things don't start correcting and they have to actually join those of us that will be doing something is going to be ridiculous.
