So I checked my voters registration status online and noticed they had the wrong address. It was quite difficult to correct so I went to the official office to register and brought my teenage daughter along for the ride downtown. While I was filling out the paperwork to correct my address, this homeless looking guy walks in and grabs a handful of registration applications. He then starts to explain to me that he knows all sorts of people that are not registered and he was going to help them out. After we spoke for a bit, he left and my registration had been processed and I was given my new voter card with the right info on it. As we were leaving i explained to my daughter that it is very important that we vote because people like that dude we saw try everything they can to cheat. She said that she thought he was nice and helpful. I pointed out that sometimes things are not as they appear. She asked why I thought he was up to no good. I then explained that he came in and grabbed all those applications and felt the need to explain himself to me even though I had not asked him anything. I literally saw her realize what I was saying and believe I may have taught her a very good life lesson. Thanks for reading!!! Remember to vote!!!

Just like the hoodlum I passed on the greenway trying to explain to me his pitbull was not normally aggressive as he was trying to hold it back.

I just listened to Ruby Ridge Podcast today. I am horrified that that whole thing basically started from a neighbor "swatting" another for piddly amount of money/land. I am even more horrified that the Gov't rolled with it as long as they did, with setups and what not, knowing that that family wasn't guilty.

yes and no, some people explain things when they're worried that their innocent act is looking suspicious. Like trying to get your car keys through a slit in the window and feeling the need to say it's your own car.

mentally ill people don't really have a good reason for whatever they're saying.

This is such a bullshit statement...the say all mentally ill people don't really have a good reason for what they're saying??? You obviously suffer from some mental illness. Depression most likely given your posting here, possibly anxiety as well. Both are mental illnesses. Though you do have a good reason for what you're saying. You are trying to get under people's skin so they are as miserable as you. Unfortunately we're the party of optimism that sees the good in everything....your side has mostly been miserable since birth...typically due to being unattractive. This shaped your world reality into seeing all the negative in life.

The democratic politicians know this about you. That's why they never fix anything, so they can campaign on it over and over again. Keep you miserable to keep you voting. Look up what they did in San Francisco. Lawyers going door to door teaching the wives of black men how to divorce them. I've met two gentlemen this had happened to. Next, get them ladies on assistance programs. They now have you for life! Why do you think they keep saying African American women are the heart and soul of the party. Republicans did this too but differently....see Mexican Immigration and cheap wages, or taxes that ONLY benefit the wealthy.

THIS IS WHY TRUMP WAS ELECTED.

Same. I'm in a CNY swing district, so fingers crossed we can at least get rid of the (D) in office now.

I wish more people would vote even if they think their state is a lost cause. It's still very important to be counted.

I'm mailing my absentee ballot to NY w a trump vote! They will most likely throw it away but I've got to try...

This is a concern for me. Last local election they didn't have me on the list despite being registered at the same polling place for 5 years prior. I just moved before the new year. Haven't been notified of the address change on my registration. I'm walking my ass down to the board of elections first thing tomorrow. I expect fuckery. Never has this ever happened to me in all my years of voting except after I voted trump. I'm registered independent so I'll gamble they're doing to just his voters.

I had updated my license online and it asked me if I wanted to register to vote and I thought I had it taken care of. My brother, who is also a pede here, sent me a link to check if I'm registered and thats when I saw they had the wrong address. It required me to have my voter ID number to change the address but I didn't have it. Thats why I went downtown.

When Bill Clinton first ran for governor of Arkansas, his people rode around Little Rock handing out alcohol and cigarettes on election night and bussing them to vote. That tradition continued even through his presidential run.

Report him to the people in the office.

Zer8 [S] 12 points ago +13 / -1

The forms were there for people to grab. The suspicious part was how he needed to explain to me as I was minding my own business.

suckmycorona 5 points ago +6 / -1

To grab one. But to grab a stack bothers me. 2018 was trial run, they know what they can get away with.

You're a good parent, pede! More fathers need to explain these sorts of things to daughters and point out bad actors. Otherwise daughters grow up thinking everyone has good intentions and everything is great and it's these naive ones the feminists prey on.

Maybe he thought you were cute and wanted to impress you with his intention to participate in the political process. You were in a voter registration office so obviously you are into it. You may have judged to hastily. /s

There are student programs in many states to get involved in working the polls this election. 16+. They don’t really work, but it’s a great learning opportunity. I’m brining my niece with me to work the polls this year. Young adults need to see how the sausage is made!

Sign up for every state: www.eac.gov

Way to fight the indoctrination she's most likely receiving in "school".

If it isn't too much of a problem, please procreate. Often. Tonight. Thanks in advance!

lol we already hit our limit at 3... the third almost killed my wife and she had to stay in the hospital for months. He was born 2 months early and they were doing car on him immediately upon extraction. Glad to report he 6 now and fit as a fiddle!!!

Coitus_The_Swamp 2 points ago +2 / -0

3 sounds good! Glad the little guy is doing so well!

2
Shesaidwhat79 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's too bad the registration office worker did not stop the guy from taking more than 1 form. A great lesson for the daughter. You better remember this though it's not how many votes are cast it is who counts the votes. That same registration office will be counting ballets later. So are they encouraging fraud?

Lots of text only posts using identity (race) in them. The story telling shills have hit TDW?

5
Zer8 [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nah. Not shilling just describing. I edited post to remove that description. Thanks for the concern.

DNC_Ballot_QATeam 0 points ago +2 / -2

Thanks. I check the "rising feed" often and found it weird we had so many.

3
Pede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah the race doesn't really seem relevant here? If he were short then that would be relevant because you can't trust short people

4
Zer8 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have removed th race over concerns. I was only trying to describe but I understand.

2
fiddleshit 2 points ago +2 / -0

What was the race? I'm just curious

3
Zer8 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

he was black so was the nice lady who fixed my registration and also the cop that gave me directions when I got in the building.

2
fiddleshit 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lol are you going to tell me the color of the floors too? The more detail the better: I'm not race-baiting or have bad intent, just like accurate, detailed descriptions that can aid in recreating someone's experience.

2
Pede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Still a good story! It's important to know how to read people

3
fiddleshit 3 points ago +3 / -0

It matters for descriptive and imaginative purposes. You can say the same for the gender: why mention the hobo was a man if you could just say person? Doesn't hurt to specify, don't be so pc.
