Pelosi was furious Markey intro'd the GND bill vs staying in line and slow walking things.
So her team backed ousting an incumbent against ALL Dem protocols and recent lectures to progressives.
An incumbent now loudly backed by Progressives aka Bernie voters for that same Bill even with doubts about Markey as siding with non progressives more than they like.
Kennedy is actually an extremist "True Believer" but between that M bill intro, K being the wealthy political class, and Nancy endorsing K-
it was a deliberate yet reflexive rejection.
And incumbents usually win anyways.
So center to right may have dodged a bullet for a few years in Markey's seat.
Also- I understand K abandoned a prior elected seat to run... and a CONSERVATIVE R WON???
If correct this is also a win on top.of another loss for NP.
