I might be that guy. Im not going to flout my political stance other than to suggest I prefer to be moderate or centrist. I prefer not to watch cities burn. I prefer civil conversation. I prefer rational conversation about cultural morality. I don't think racism is systemic. I don't care about the identity of anyone as long as they are nice.
I think Trump is not a model for character, and I won't idolize him, but i don't think many people like me exist in the Biden Basement.
I'm not sure, if I am a pede, but that video of the woman in australia getting arrested for planning to bring the voice of unheard people to the publics attention terrified me. I don't want that in a America. The other side seems okay with that.
Trump might be the only way to ensure America keeps freedom.
Edit: i never expected this kind of rally around opinions! You all sound really passionate and thoughtful. I would say I feel the community for sure. Thanks to all!
Welcome! I wasn't 100% MAGA at first, more disgusted with how Pres Trump was being treated and the disdain for the office of the President that they had. Since then I've seen the great job he has done as president and the hope and love he has for our country and more importantly, US!
Thank you! I just want people to have freedom. Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are backed by so many people that do not see how the sausage is made. It's ugly, but I believe we can do better without chasing after some fake systematic boogyman like the patriarchy.
I'm not in the habit of idolizing politicians, nor do I care much about their character. I'm more of a policy guy, and Trump's got my backing on about 90% of stuff which is good enough for me.
Used to be straight libertarian, until the disillusioned Bernie bros came in and threw the wrench of SJW nonsense into that party.
I agree the bubble in the basement is not a vision of America. Thank you for your post. Please post wherever you can safely.
Funny thing is i have fallen into the trap of saying Trump isn't "Presidential". But then i started thinking, the founding fathers/politicians were just normal citizens doing civil service work to better the nation. All offices should be held by normal citizens that switch to gov job and then go back to private sector. No lifetime jobs. TERM LIMITS.
Trump is apologetically himself. i respect that so much in the fake persona world everyone else exists in....
Recognizing where our freedoms come from and they are under danger is a key.
Welcome!
Thank you! I don't want to be on the side that doesn't understand freedom will be ugly sometimes, but it's always better than the alternative.
Well said. Liberty is not the default, it is the exception and must be valued and defended otherwise it will slip away completely.
And welcome! Be at ease for you are among liberty loving friends.
I think and hope there's a lot of sentiment like yourself that irrespective of how we might agree or disagree on things, that the vision of America that's being presented to us by the left is just one we can't agree with.
I'd also say I don't think you really find many here that actually idolize or worship Trump. We are proud of our President and we support our President but if there's anything we idolize it's American freedom. I've seen leftists try to present a picture of "Trump said to drink bleach and all of his supporters believe everything he says and they drink up". I've never come across that attitude on this site. There's not even always total agreement with Trump on this site. Much of the idolization you see is tongue-in-cheek for fun.
Hear, hear! Hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!
I support our President and I will try to convince everyone I can to vote for him, but that doesn't mean that I agree with everything he does. He is human. He is flawed. But, I am proud of the job he is doing. I am so thankful that he loves this country and he wants to preserve her freedoms!
Welcome. Bring frens
He's genuine, and an outsider who wants everyone to have a better shot at their American dream.
Trump isn't a phony prepackaged politician. He's outside the establishment and that's why they hate him. Phony swap republicans aren't willing to make hard calls; they have as little principles as dems. That's exactly what trumpers are fighting against - the Australia and UK type government that humors their people while steamrolling right over them. We fight for the freedom of self-governance and to not be governed by a political class of patronising elites telling us what to do and say.

Yup.
Trump my not be your ideal leader, but the Democrats have proven themselves over the last three and a half years as a party who would rather see this country in ruins than admit that Trump is doing many, dare I say most, things better than our political caste. I think that's what really threatens them the most.
Glad to hear you aren't for low incoming housing being built in the middle of suburbs, higher taxes, open borders, new communist-sympathizing supreme court judges, pro-censorship, anti-2A legislation, globalist trade policies and that's just mentioning a fraction of his agenda he pulled right from the swamp.
Give it a month here you will probably have a different idea on President Trump. Rough around the edges sometimes, but the man is genuine and means the best. Coming from an ex-liberal Obama voter who originally couldn't stand the guy.
We don't agree on everything here. You are very welcome, and feel comfortable voicing and discussing your thoughts and opinions. We are ideologically diverse.
Example: I'm an environmentalist who thinks business and environmentalism don't have to be at odds; unlike the eco-terrorism waged on our economy by Green New Deal supporters. I don't agree with Trump on everything environmental, although his support of Nuclear Energy (cleanest and cheapest and safest power source) is a huge step in the right direction.
You're an American, and a lucid one at that. Glad you showed up!
Same! Vote like your life depends on it, cuz it does!
I was a Never Trumper when he got the nomination.
Then they dropped the tape, and I suddenly understood why all the media has given him so much airtime.
They were trying to rig the election.
That was my red pill moment.
So I voted for him rather than not vote. I wasn't 100% on board, and didn't like his style. I liked what his campaign platform was, but didn't think he meant any of it. I figured, well if half of this gets even partially done, it's better than Hillary.
Since that time, I've become 100% MAGA.
I get his sense of humor now, and I've come to realize that a) he's not a politician and b) he's pretty much a new york construction person in a suit.
I don't look negatively on his past, lest i be judged just as harshly.
President Trump speaks his mind, and on a national stage it can seem bad, but context is everything. Like the "fine people" hoax - he's not a professional politician who wouldn't led with the condemnation, instead of the other way around like he did.
The Donald Trump, our President, isn't a soaring orator.
His actions speak louder than words.
He fights against political correctness, fren. Political correctness is what locks a pregnant woman up for speaking out.
He fights by NOT being politically correct, because he knows people like you will see that political correctness isn't the law of the land, or even basic civility. It's about control.
So consider how one encourages people to stand up and speak out against political correctness? With a politically correct argument? Or, by showing that you don't have to be a politically correct speaker to do what's right for our country, or achieve your dreams.
Be you, ignore the nay sayers, full speed ahead.
That's leadership, IMHO, and it was very hard for me to understand. However, once I did, I got it, and I see it. This is a culture war.
Remember, politically correct is not "cultured." It's about power over thought.
Welcome! You'll find nothing but friendly people here. Feel free to ask any questions, or present any contentions-- we love to talk about that stuff.
As others have said, bring friends!
You had me at "I don't care just that they are nice" Amen. ps You are now a Pede.
I can understand not liking Trump's personality. It can make me cringe at times too. But he is in my opinion looking out for the good of all Americans and trying to lift everyone up. I am scared what happens to our economy and progress if Biden were to come into office. It's like we'd be rewarding all the lawlessness we're seeing in the cities. They tried to cause havoc and blame it on Trump but the American people see that the overwhelming majority of these agitators are Democrats.
Welcome Friend!
Wrongthink = violence in their world. They plan that for us all. Personal liberties are no longer part of the agenda on the left, they’ve simply slipped too far left into authoritarianism.
Welcome friend! We don't all agree on everything here, and that is just fine. I think you will find this place more civil than most of the internets these days. Hope you keep hanging out.
He IS a model for character! All the GOOD DEEDS he has done for OTHERS in his lifetime PROVE it! He talks mean to kiddie fucking money laundering treasonous SWAMP creatures because they FUCKING DESERVE IT! Welcome and God Bless you for waking up!
I am with you. That Australian woman has been haunting me all day. That’s not some authoritarian backwash country, that’s freaking Australia. We are in much greater danger than we realized.
Glad you found us, friend! As others have said, you'll find all sorts of independent thinkers here, and we all get along pretty darn well because we care about freedom and the magnificent country we've inherited.
Hang out, get comfy, laugh at the memes, chime in whenever you feel like it. And, welcome!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Honestly I think " I prefer not to watch cities burn. I prefer civil conversation. I prefer rational conversation about cultural morality. I don't think racism is systemic. I don't care about the identity of anyone as long as they are nice." Is how most people feel or would feel in an environment where they aren't being manipulated. It's logical and pretty rational.
Anyways I just wanted to say thanks for posting & Welcome!
disclaimer: I myself am an independent. I don't like party lines. Data analyst as an occupation so I'm looking at what is the true & measurable best outcomes on a case by case basis for all americans
I also do analyst work. It's part of my sway towards the right in recent times. Coronavirus and treatment stats, unemployment, crime, and all the numbers thrown around recently do not seem to fit the narrative of those more left. Its almost like being an optimist is impossible for progressives. Everything is bad and you should feel bad is not a way to live.
It's unbelievable the amount of pessimism and negativity from people who are more privileged than any other group in human history.
There's abundant opportunity right now especially in America. It's got to be exhausting to be these people.
You are right a lot of the data just doesn't support narrative
<3 HUGs <3
You are AMERICAN.
Welcome home, Brother!
